1. Who we are

Aannemersbedrijf HandyMan, based in Rotterdam, the Netherlands, is responsible for processing personal data as described in this privacy statement. You can reach us at info@aannemersbedrijfhandyman.nl or +31 6 12 34 56 78.

2. Which data we process

• Through the quote or contact form: your name, email address, phone number (optional), town and the description of your job or question.
• When you write a review: your name, town, the job, your rating and the review text.
• When you become a client: your name, address and contact details, and the information needed for quotes, invoices and carrying out the job.

We never ask for special categories of personal data and do not knowingly collect data from children.

3. Why we use this data

• To answer your request and prepare a quote, because you ask us to.
• To carry out, schedule and invoice the job, because this is necessary for our agreement with you.
• To keep invoices, because the law requires this.
• To show your review on the website, with your consent. You can withdraw that consent at any time.
• To show photos of completed work on the website. These photos do not show recognisable people or address details.

4. How long we keep data

• Requests that do not lead to a job: no longer than one year after the last contact.
• Client, quote and invoice data: seven years, because of the statutory (tax) retention obligation.
• Reviews: for as long as they are shown on the website. If you withdraw your consent, we delete the review.

5. Sharing with others

We never sell your data. We only share it with parties we need for our services, such as our hosting and email providers, with whom we have agreements on security and confidentiality. The website is hosted through Cloudflare. Where data is processed outside the European Union, this is done with appropriate safeguards, such as the EU-US Data Privacy Framework or the European Commission’s standard contractual clauses. We also share data when required by law, for example with the Dutch Tax Administration.

6. Cookies

This website does not use tracking, analytics or advertising cookies and does not load content from Google or social media. That is why you do not see a cookie notice. Fonts and images are loaded from our own website. Only our own admin area uses temporary, functional storage to keep the administrator logged in.

7. Security

We take appropriate measures to protect your data. The website uses a secure connection (https), the admin area is password protected and only we have access to your data.

8. Your rights

You have the right to access your data, to have it corrected or deleted, to restrict its processing, to object and to data portability. You can withdraw any consent you have given at any time. Send your request to info@aannemersbedrijfhandyman.nl; we will respond within one month. To prevent misuse, we may ask you to verify your identity.

9. Complaints

Not happy with how we handle your data? Let us know and we will look for a solution together. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens).
